Ryan Howard Beat out Albert Pujols for the 2006 MLB MVP award. Howard hit .313 with 58 HR and 149 RBI.
When Ryan Howard won the 2006 MVP, Albert Pujols compalined. He said that you need to lead your team to the playoffs
to be worthy of the MVP. Well Albert, lets take a look at the facts. The Phillies finished 85 - 77. The Cards finished 83
- 78. That means that the Phillies had a better record than the world champion cards, but the cards made the playoff simply
because they play in possibly the worst division in baseball. If the Cardians were in the East, they would have shut it down
in June, with the Mets amazing record. They also would have lost out on the playoffs. So, Albert, if you were in the Phillies
postion, you wouldn't have made the playoff either, so next time, CHECK THE FACTS. Ryan Howard is the NL MVP of the 2006 season,
no doubt.
